Dietary supplement of creatine monohydrate.
GLUTEN FREE.
Creatine is a naturally occurring substance in the human body. It is mainly located in skeletal muscles (95 percent), while a small part is found in the heart and brain. These organs, however, are unable to produce creatine: their requirements (2 g per day under normal conditions) are covered partly by synthesis in the liver (1 g) and partly by creatine found in meat foods (creatine is virtually absent in vegetables). Creatine taken orally passes rapidly into the blood and thus into the muscles.
At the muscle level, the functions of creatine are many:
1) to readily restore (as phosphocreatine) the energy reserves used during physical activity;
2) to facilitate the transport and diffusion of energy;
3) moderately stimulate protein synthesis.
These properties are enhanced by the increase in creatine levels in muscles achievable by taking creatine regularly for more or less prolonged periods.
In creatine monohydrate each molecule of creatine is associated with one molecule of water.
Our choice to market only creatine monohydrate was guided by a number of science-based reasons. First, creatine monohydrate is, among the creatines on the market, the one with the highest percentage of pure creatine (for example, if in 5 g of creatine monohydrate we find 4.4 grams of creatine base in creatine citrate we find only 2 grams).
One of the criticisms levelled at creatine monohydrate concerns its possible lower assimilability. This is a criticism that is completely unfounded: once dissolved in water, creatine, whatever type it is, sees the creatine base separate from the other molecules that flank it, and in terms of assimilation by the muscle, it is only the creatine base that is assimilated.
Furthermore, compared to the other creatines, creatine monohydrate was the first to be introduced to the market and therefore the one on which there is a higher, hence more reliable, amount of clinical studies.
Indications for use:
At the suggested doses, the product has no contraindications even for prolonged use. At high doses (more than 15 g per day) and for prolonged times, creatine can induce an increase in body weight (3 percent and more). This increase is due to a hydration of skeletal muscle that is reversible in nature (discontinuation of intake leads back to the original weight within 5-7 days).
Dissolve the powder preferably in oligomineral water. Creatine is unstable in beverages or acidic environment.
SPORTS: The product is particularly suitable for anyone who plays sports assiduously. Continuous creatine intake for at least one week improves physical performance (short, intense, repeated), reduces recovery time.
Doses: take 3-4 g (1-1.5 scoops) of the product, spread between before and after training or competition. Begin intake 6-8 weeks before major competitions.
DAILY LIFE: The product is indicated in cases of asthenia, weakness and muscle pain. Useful to supplement diets with reduced meat consumption. Improved physical performance after creatine supplementation has also been demonstrated in elderly subjects (males, aged 60 to 82 years).
Serving size: 3 g (1 scoop) throughout the day. Take, preferably, on an empty stomach.
Warnings: dietary supplements should not be intended as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Intake should not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age. Do not use during pregnancy, in children, in cases of liver or kidney disease, or otherwise for prolonged periods without seeking medical advice.
Due to the presence of creatine, the product is intended for adults only. Do not use during pregnancy.
