Lipoic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body and contained in foods. It may need to be supplemented in some circumstances, which is why it is considered a vitamin-like substance.
Lipoic acid has an antioxidant function, in fact through direct action, to reduce some oxidative stress signals and to promote the recirculation of other important physiological antioxidants such as vitamins C and E. Lipoic acid is involved in nutrient metabolism, and in particular conversion of glucose and fat into ATP and thus into energy.
Manner of use: it is recommended to take 2 capsules daily with a glass of water.
