This bar has a pro-energy action both in the very short term (thanks to fructose) and in the medium term (thanks to maltodextrin) for prolonged efforts.
CarboWatt+ bars are a highly digestible food, as carbohydrates are a fast-absorbing source of energy, more digestible than proteins and fats. This property makes them particularly useful during intense physical exertion, where poorly digestible (or slow-digestible) foods impair performance and cause gastric problems.
An example of the use of this type of bar is during long training sessions or competitions (over 2 hours), where muscle glycogen reserves are significantly diminished or depleted, forcing the athlete to eat before the end of the Performance.
The new flavours, pistachio and peanut and cranberry, can make the energy bar more palatable, and a pleasant flavour can encourage carbohydrate intake during physical activity and provide satisfaction during consumption. The new flavours contain either peanut kernels and cranberry pieces or pistachio kernels.
Ingredients Pistachio: Glucose syrup, rice crispies (rice flour, sugar, barley malt extract, salt), fructose, maltodextrin, pistachios (6%), dextrose, water, pistachio-flavoured paste (sugar, almonds, cashews, pistachios, coconut oil, maize starch, emulsifier soy lecithin, flavouring, colouring agents: E100 - E141)(4%), soy lecithin, wafer (potato starch, water, sunflower oil), egg white, gelling agent (pectin, sodium alginate), flavouring. May contain traces of milk, peanuts and other nuts.
